Along with many other great Teachers Pay Teachers sellers, I’m participating in a great TpT Seller Challenge this summer in an effort to improve my store and social media reach!
The challenge is four weeks long, and there is a new challenge each week. The first challenge week is Makeover Madness. TpT sellers were tasked with the job of making over one of their TpT resources.
I decided to make over my best-selling Annotating Text Made Easy resource.
This resource is a zipped file that includes two documents: an editable PowerPoint that walks students through the annotation process and a PDF file containing student resources and an annotating activity with a suggested answer key.
I love this lesson. I teach it every year to all of my classes at the very beginning of the school year. I feel that teaching students how to properly annotate nonfiction text within the first few days of the school year sets them up for success not only in English class, but also in their other classes as well. And now that I have given this resource a makeover, I am in love with it more than ever before!
The newly updated version includes a PowerPoint that is still editable. The PowerPoint includes a more colorful background and newly added clipart to make it more visually appealing.
I like to sell editable PowerPoint presentations in my store to help make teachers’ lives easier. Having an editable resource is easier to customize to your own educational needs.
This resource also includes updated supplemental resources as well. I added a color version of the annotation key so teachers can print out colorful versions if desired. I also added black and white and color student annotation bookmarks to the file as well. I’m excited to print out and laminate these bookmarks for my students. I just know that they will be very helpful.
My Annotating Text Made Easy resource is just one of my common core aligned educational resources that is ideal for secondary English students, especially lower-level, younger, struggling, and ESL students.
